OFFICIAL JURY
Maria Colomer Canyelles
She is the Co-Artistic Director and Head of Programming at DocsBarcelona and the founder of Glia Films, a production company specialising in documentary and auteur cinema. She has worked as a producer at The Why Foundation and Nanouk Films, and is the executive producer of films that have premiered at festivals such as IDFA, Hot Docs and Thessaloniki. She also directed the short film The Painter’s Room, which was nominated for the 2026 Goya Awards.
Maria Besora Barti
She is a director and editor, with degrees in Anthropology and Film. She made her debut with Animal Salvatge, which was selected for and received awards at festivals including IDFA, D’A and FIPADOC. She is also the co-director of Dol i fa sol, winner of In-Edit BCN and nominated for the 2025 Gaudí Awards. She combines her new film projects with teaching non-fiction filmmaking at ESCAC and A Bao A Qu.
Xavier Manuel Ruiz
He is an animation screenwriter and narrative designer for video games, active in the industry since 2009. He has worked at Nickelodeon and Titmouse studios and specialises in animation writing. He has written series such as The Triplets, Jasmine & Jambo and Elvis Riboldi. He is the co-writer of Decorado, winner of the 2026 Goya Award for Best Animated Film. He is currently writing Aroa and collaborating with Peekaboo Animation and Mago Production.
IN SITU JURY
Andrea Luño García
She holds a degree in Art History and a Master’s degree in Event Management and Protocol. She worked as Head of Institutional Relations and Fundraising at DocsBarcelona. She has also worked in art galleries and as an advisor on the financing of audiovisual and cultural projects. She is currently responsible for financial management and project development at PROA, the federation of audiovisual production companies.
Ainhoa Chacón Pérez
She is an audiovisual and cultural project manager, with a degree in Audiovisual Communication and a Master’s degree in Project Management and Direction. She currently coordinates Docs del Mes and has worked in film distribution, film coordination and materials management for festivals such as DocsBarcelona and Memorimage. She sees audiovisual storytelling as a tool for cultural transformation and outreach.
