OPENING AND CLOSING
INAUGURAL GALA
November 8 from 8 pm to 10:30 pm at the Winery of Vila-seca
The opening ceremony of the Vila-seca International Short Film Festival (FICVI) will take place on November 8th at 8:00 p.m. The event will be presented by actress Marina Gatell, a personality with an extensive career as an actress with national and international recognition.
During the inaugural gala, The Trajectòria Award will be presented, this 9th edition going to Marta Balletbò-Coll, and later some of their most outstanding short films will be screened. Once the opening ceremony is over, all attendees will be able to enjoy a toast and refreshments.
Marina Gatell i Poch (1979, Sabadell) is a prominent Catalan theater and film actress, recognized for her roles in series and films such as Majoria Absoluta, Lalola, Pa Negre, Terra Baixa, Ventdelplà, and more recently, the series La Cocinera de Castamar and the feature film Dos (Netflix). She has directed several short films and is currently working on her first feature film, Kings and Queens of Kibera. As of this September, she is also part of the series Com si fos ahir on 3cat.
CLOSING GALA
November 16 from 7 pm to 10:30 pm at the Winery of Vila-seca
The closing gala of the 9th edition of the FICVI will be presented by Samanta Villar. During the gala, the Awards Ceremony of the 9th edition of the FICVI will take place. Once the ceremony is over, attendees will be able to enjoy a toast and refreshments.
Samanta Villar is a journalist, writer, radio and television presenter, university teacher and lecturer. Villar has been recognized with several prestigious awards such as Ondas, Antena de Oro and Antena de Plata, among others. She is internationally known for her first-person journalism with programs that have had great audience success. Among them are programs such as 21 días, Conexión Samanta or 9 meses con Samanta.
